Hello Nancy - so lovely to meet you. I do love the drop spindle - I'm an absolute beginner but I think it's completely addictive! I need to get hold of more 'stuff' to spin very soon...

I arrived at your blog from Hilary's Lemon Loves post about the Liebster Award. Congrats on receiving it. I can see why she nominated your blog.

Your yarn looks lovely. Do you love spinning on a drop spindle? I learned to spin on a home-made drop spindle and loved it, though I was spinning home-washed wool instead of roving. I suspect it's a bit more difficult with roving because it's so much cleaner. There's a peace and rhythm and comfort about drop spinning. I was weaving at the time but have never tried knitting or crocheting with my own yarn. I think one would feel very self-reliant. Your dyed wools look lovely, too.

These are so nice. I've never heard of adding Tums to shift colours. Very cool, I'll have to try that. Love the cochineal too, I'm used to getting more of a purple with it, so this is a nice change.
